Lightening Fast

Not much going on here, except getting ready for our 4th of July bash and chasing after Bennett. Now that he's mobile, he's a little less needy and more willing to occupy himself...the problem is how he keeps himself occupied. He loves dumping over the office trash can, playing with paper, shredding and/or eating any paper he finds (magazines, newspaper, mail, etc.), getting into the filthy dog toys, trying to walk, pulling out all his toys from the toy bin--just lots of fun! The things on his legs are called BabyLegs, and they are little leg warmers for babies. I like them because they help his knees not get so rug-burned. His poor little knees are so red all the time.

Bennett watched his dad work in the yard and loved watching him spray the water. He was hitting the glass and putting his whole face against the glass!

Peek-a-boo

This video is a little older, but still worth sharing (Dad is slippin' up again)

As the boy crawls...

Last time we left Bennett he was happy just sitting on his rear. For about the last two weeks you can't keep that boy from crawling around the house.

Our Weekend Adventure

From dad's Blackberry

This weekend was a big adventure for the Wheaton-Rodriguez household. Bennett went on his first plane ride. The boy continues to impress us. He wasn't terrible on the plane, and that is a big plus. About half way through the the flight home he got a little crazy and was wondering why he couldn,t crawl on the plane. So that was the fligh, where did we go? Bennett went to visit his great grandfather for the first time. It was really neat, and moving. Here was his frail great grandfather stretching out his arms so that he could hold one of the newest members of the Rodriguez family line he started nearl 70 years before. Pictures to come later...

Definitely Crawling

Bennett had a good weekend. He finally slept better after being up so many nights from the rash (we guess). Here he is playing with his blocks. Thanks Aunt Dana!

Spots

So the rash is a virus called roseola, which is going around the daycare. And more big news, Bennett is starting to crawl. We're in major trouble!

Nine Months Old

Just a quick post to give you the stats...Bennett is 30 inches long (92nd percentile) and 21.7 lbs (70th percentile). He was healthy yesterday at his appointment. Today, he has a rash all over his body. It might be the egg the doctor told me was "no problem" to give him. I knew I should have waited! Who knows? Maybe it's just a heat rash...

Lazy Weekend

Saturday morning, Bennett helped me unload groceries from our new eco-friendly grocery bags.
Then, Bennett played on the piano with his toes. The talent this kid has! Wow!
Saturday night, we went to an outside concert to hear Elvis. Bennett had a good time playing with his new friend Kendall. Kendall's mom & dad were in Lamaze with us. Kendall is 10 days younger than Bennett.
Look closely--you can see Bennett's itsy bitsy teeth!

After not having a bath Saturday night and then taking a sweaty nap in the car, Bennett shows off his crazy hairstyle.
